Daily Mile Track – Craylands

Craylands Primary School contacted Sportsafe looking to encourage their pupils to run a mile every day with the use of a Daily Mile Track. They requested a material that was suitable in all weathers, which was approximately 217m long and 2m wide.

Our project sales manager discussed the installation with the school, where they decided on the colour and exact measurements of the Daily Mile Track. The engineers prepared the area by laying a weed membrane to ensure the longevity of the track and making it long lasting in all weathers. The rubber and polyurethane binder were mixed together, ready to be placed across the prepared area. Once laid and shaped, the track must be left for a few days to ensure it has fully set and is safe for use, ready to be utilised and enjoyed by the pupils.

The site were left thrilled with their new multi-use Daily Mile Track. The track stood out against the grass and now allows the children to track their running, boosting fitness levels amongst the children and concentration during lesson time.
