Polymeric Surfacing
The polymeric EPDM rubber is a popular choice for these sports facilities. It provides ideal ball bounce capabilities for sports like basketball and tennis, as well as having ideal slip resistance qualities for these activities. Many schools, clubs and leisure centres choose to have this surface specification installed. This creates a versatile facility which can be utilised as an all-purpose multi-sports area.

Why use Polymeric Surfacing?
These coloured coatings are made up of polyurethane paint which is combined with a mixture of sand and aluminium oxide. This is to achieve the required slip resistance qualities for the chosen sports.
Non-slip paint coatings can be applied to the polymeric rubber surfacing in a range of colours to enhance the performance qualities and to give the sports facility a fun and exciting appearance including tennis, netball and basketball for a multi-use games area.
What is a Polymeric Surface?
Polymeric sports surfaces are made up of EPDM rubber crumb particles which are mixed with a binder and poured out onto a macadam base. The mixture will then be left to cure, leaving a versatile and durable surface for a sports court or athletics track facility.
Once installed, the polymeric rubber system along with the macadam sub-base will be completely porous and SUDS compliant to allow water to easily drain through, preventing flooding in the area.
