Vertex Frame and Mulch Installation – Anstruther Primary School

Anstruther Primary School contacted the Sportsafe Projects team to discuss adding a new Climbing Frame and Rubber Mulch surface. Following the site visit and the project manager’s advice, the location of the structure was changed to allow easier vehicle access on the playground and also make it so the new installation is not too close to the nearby netball court and does not become a potential obstruction.

The first stage of the project was to install the new Vertex Frame into the existing macadam surface. The main features of the Vertex Playframe are Jigsaw Traverse Panels Traverse Net Timber Log Climber Balance Beam x 2 Tarzan Traverse Rope Walk Log Roll with Drop Ropes Cross Rope. The team then went on to make good of any holes created in the existing surface by any installation works. The Rubber Mulch was the next step of the install, ensuring the neseccary safety surface area was accurate. The total Rubber Mulch area was 8.13 x 6.56m, with a depth of 50mm. The school chose a red and brown mix of mulch.

The site are very pleased with their installation, with Sportsafe engineers being told it was a “Job well done!” by the schools Site Manager.
