Rubber Mulch Installation – Mile Cross

We received an enquiry from Mile Cross Primary regarding their existing rubber mulch. It had started to fray and look damaged, and was no longer acting as a high standard safety surface. The Sportsafe projects team sent over a free, no-obligation quotation straight away and, before you know it, they were arriving at site to carry out the install.

The team started by removing the existing brown rubber mulch surface, due to it being at an end of life stage. This was replaced with a new membrane to act as a barrier for the new mulch to sit on, and to prevent roots and weeds from growing through. The new surface then began to be laid, a 40mm deep green/blue bonded mulch. The team spent time leveling out the surface, before leaving this to fully set for the pupils to spend their break times on.

The school were over the moon with their new rubber mulch surface. Providing safer break times for their pupils, and a nice pop of a new colour on their premises.
