Outdoor Fitness Project – Birmingham

The Brief

Kingshurst Primary School already had outdoor fitness equipment for their pupils but were looking to expand so more children could use the apparatus. We were only too happy to take up the challenge.

Installation

We drew up designs integrating the new equipment with the existing, perfectly blending the two. The school was keen to install a range of outdoor equipment and our engineers quickly upgraded the area to include parallel dips, a sit-up bench, an incline to pull up and vertical leg raise.

We completed the look with a double cross country skier, arm and pedal bike and tai chi spinners before finishing the area in bonded rubber mulch.

Outcome

The school was thrilled with the results. Altogether, ten new pieces of equipment were installed, giving the children more skills to master and more time to play on the various parts. The bonded rubber mulch also means they can play safely. The children are loving their new outdoor gym and we were really pleased we were able to help!
