Ashburton Park Outdoor Fitness Equipment

The Brief

Greenwich Leisure Ltd approached Sportsafe with a need to improve the outdoor fitness facilities within Ashburton Park, based in Croydon.

Installation

We set to work on creating a new fitness area into the existing grass surface, building a total of four new stations dedicated to improving public fitness for both adults and teens who visit the park. Station 1 features a 2.4m chin-up bar and incline leg raiser. Station 2 has an incline pull up and low parallette bar.

Station 3 combines parallel dips and a sit-up bench and Station 4 features step-ups and a vertical leg raise. All equipment is constructed using high-quality laminated pine from managed forests, pressure-treated giving it great longevity. The new stations also feature our special grass matting which provides natural drainage, is non-slip for ultimate safety and requires zero maintenance.
