Rubber Mulch Surfacing – Upminster
The Brief
Branfil Primary School desperately needed to find a surfacing solution to replace their existing carpet which sat underneath a trim trail. The trail was unusable following a safety issue, causing the carpet to be taken over by a severe moss infestation.
Installation
Our engineers got to work on site, immediately focusing on making the trim trail safe before removing the existing carpet surface and excavating wood chip, disposing of it off site for the school. Following discussions, it was agreed we would install rubber mulch surfacing underneath the existing trim trail, making it safe for children.
Outcome
The revamped area has undergone a complete transformation. As well as being safe and appealing, it is now being used fully again by the children as a climbing area and quiet zone. The surfacing is safe and can be used in all weathers. Thanks Branfil for asking us to work on such a great job!
