High Performance Sports Installation – Essex

The Brief

To supply and install top of the range sports equipment suitable for a wide variety of high-performance sports, including:

– Basketball
– Netball
– Handball
– Volleyball
– Badminton

As well as high-end sports equipment, we were also asked to supply and install Division netting to enable the arena to be sub-divided into five separate spaces and used for multiple events at any given time.

Installation

Sportsafe undertook all installation work across two phases, in-line with all construction work being carried out by the building contractors. The first fit began on the 24th July 2017 and was conducted over the course of two weeks. Throughout this period, we had the help of our Dutch partners, Janssen-Fritsen, who assisted us with the installation.

Outcome

All work was completed on time and ready for the grand opening on Saturday 27th January. Because Sportsafe manages the installation of all products we supply we were able to keep the entire project in budget and were also able to keep constant communication with the client. The University of Essex now has an international standard sports venue that allows them to host memorable sporting events for many years to come.
