Sportsafe is pleased to announce the renewal of its place on ESPO’s Inspection and Maintenance of Indoor Gymnasium, Fitness & Sport Equipment and Outdoor Schools Play & Sport Equipment framework (107).
The framework is due to run until 6th February 2028, giving public sector authorities access to appointed suppliers that can deliver inspection, maintenance and minor repair services for indoor gymnasium, fitness and sport equipment, outdoor play equipment and outdoor sport equipment.
The renewal continues Sportsafe’s role as an appointed supplier through ESPO Framework 107. Sportsafe has supplied inspection and maintenance services through successive ESPO frameworks for over 20 years, supporting public sector customers with sports, play and fitness equipment.
Sportsafe provides supply, installation, inspection and maintenance services for sports, play and fitness equipment to customers across the UK. Its team supports schools, academies, local authorities, leisure providers and wider public sector organisations with practical advice, detailed inspections, maintenance planning and responsive repairs.
Regular inspection and maintenance can help organisations manage the condition of their sports, fitness and play environments, support them in meeting relevant requirements and identify issues requiring attention. Through ESPO Framework 107, Sportsafe will continue to help customers identify issues, manage risk and plan works around operational needs, budgets and usage levels.
Sportsafe has a nationwide network of offices and engineer hubs, with experienced inspectors and engineers supporting customers across the country. DBS checks are in place for the company’s directly employed inspectors and engineers, supporting safeguarding requirements when they work in settings such as schools. Where play inspections require RPII qualifications, relevant individual Sportsafe inspectors hold qualifications appropriate to the type of inspection they undertake. The Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) assesses and certifies individual play inspectors, providing customers with access to inspectors whose competence has been assessed for the relevant inspection type.
Sportsafe’s company-level credentials include certifications to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), together with CHAS accreditation and JOSCAR registration. Sportsafe is also a member of SportSPE. Individual RPII qualifications held by relevant play inspectors are separate from these company certifications, registrations and memberships. Together, these credentials support Sportsafe’s approach to quality, occupational health and safety, environmental responsibility, supplier assurance and professional competence.
