Get In Touch TodayHaving successfully completed a large canopy installation for a school nearby in Manchester – the managing architect and governor of Altrincham asked Sportsafe to look at designing and installing a replacement play area in Bell field Park adjacent to, and partly owned by – Altrincham Prep School.
The existing Trim Trail and Play apparatus had been condemned with rotting wooden posts and become unsafe, and the rubber EPDM safety surface underneath had become slippery and covered in Algae and needed to be replaced too.
Installation
Sportsafe offered a complete turnkey package – to remove and dispose of all the old equipment and surfacing and to install a new range of KS1 trim trail equipment and activity play unit.
This would be complemented with soft, premium artificial grass surfacing, cut in around the play area with foam safety tiles underneath for CFH protection.
The area was designed with a linking artificial grass pathway back to the Tarmac path to ensure access is year round without the children having to cross wet or muddy grass.

The Project was managed and installed through summer holidays 2016 – ready for the start of the new term in September.
The staff and children were delighted with their new facility and year round availability.
