Get In Touch TodayAs a school with children ranging in age from 5 to 16, the school wanted to improve its sports facilities in its main field. An old Long jump area and pit had become overgrown and unsafe, and with a natural grass run up – wasn’t useable in winter or spring terms anyway. Sportsafe were asked to look at a new long jump twin lane facility to install on the main field – and to fit into available school budgets and time constraints.
Installation
A new artificial grass twin lane long jump facility with 25m long runway, concrete kerb edging for ease of maintenance around it. Sportsafe offered a custom built 5m x 7m timber pit, complete with rubber edging tiles for additional safety, fresh Silica washed sand, and a Vinyl long jump pit cover to keep the area clean when not in use.

All built and constructed in 2 weeks – the facility use terracotta artificial grass for the running lanes to add to authenticity and was constructed to one side of the main field, near the entrance gate. All managed using Sportsafe’s experienced construction team – was completed on time and on budget.
The school are delighted with their new facility, which can be used year round.
