SPORTSAFE staff rose to the challenge this week when they donated dozens of items to Colchester Foodbank.
Workers took time out to collect extra tins, toiletries and treats from their food shop for Colchester Foodbank, which has helped thousands of people this year alone.
Staff had to call in the help of a Sportsafe van to make the special delivery as it was so heavy.
Donna Reid, Marketing Manager at Sportsafe, said: “Sportsafe staff consistently go above and beyond in their work and it was no surprise how they really took the Colchester Foodbank challenge on.
“We hope our donation will go some way to helping those who need an extra helping hand this Christmas.”Donna and Lucy Purton, Sportsafe Repair and Product Sales Team Manager, were met by Colchester Foodbank worker Anne Barney who thanked Sportsafe staff for their generosity.
It wasn’t the only fundraising the Colchester-based company completed this month either.
Staff also wore their Christmas jumpers and raised a fantastic £35 for Save the Children.
Donna added: “It’s all about supporting the next generation.”
Sportsafe’s headquarters are based at Eastgates, Moorside in Colchester, Essex.
