Sportsafe are always looking to give back to the local community and to help support local charities wherever possible. Because of this, directors Jon Neill and Phil Wallis have decided to take part in The Rotary Club of Colchester ‘The Big Sleep Out 2017’ charity event to raise money for local charities The Samaritans and Beacon House.
On Saturday 6th May, Jon and Phil will join other senior members of local charities, Colchester Major Cllr. Julie Young and Colchester MP Will Quince to sleep outside in Castle Park overnight. The Rotary Club have said that they will provide cardboard boxes to those participants who wish to truly identify with the homeless and discover how difficult it really is to sleep outside.
Phil Wallis says “As a local company we are always looking at ways to support the community and those charities that aim to provide support to those within it that are less privileged than ourselves. I strongly believe in this cause and am proud to have been invited to take part in this event for two worthwhile local charities.”
It’s not too late to show your support, just visit https://www.gofundme.com/the-big-sleepout-2017 and give whatever you can spare towards this great cause.
