Sportsafe UK have teamed up with Monkey Bizness in Hull to build the first trampoline park for the city.

Sportsafe UK based at Eastgates in Colchester and with offices in the Midlands, Wales, York and Scotland are celebrating this new contract to design, construct, install and maintain the first trampoline park in Hull.

It will be based in an adjacent unit to the Monkey Bizness play centre at Malmo Park and the proposals submitted by Monkey Bizness have already been approved by Hull City Council’s planning department with ground works starting on the site next week and the Sportsafe installation commencing in April for completion in four weeks.

Trampoline parks have boomed in popularity across the UK in recent years. The closest one to Hull is Gravity at Xscape in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

Wendy Donnelley, manager of the centre, said “We have been based in Hull for three years and when the opportunity arose to acquire the neighbouring unit we instantly started to look at the possibility of a trampoline park. We’ve joined forces with Sportsafe who work right across the UK and are well respected within the sport industry; they created the most competitive proposal and with their reputation for excellent work it was an easy decision to make.”

Rebound Trampoline Park will contain over 90 trampolines, tumble tracks, foam pits and “Gladiator-style” height platforms, along with an indoor cafeteria and a toddler trampoline area, the centre will create at least 30 jobs.

Along with the dozens of differently-sized trampolines, a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system will also be installed in the centre.

Jonathan Neill, MD at Sportsafe said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Monkey Bizness in Hull to create the first trampoline park for the city. Not only will it be fun it also encourages healthy activity which has far reaching benefits for the whole community.”
