Sportsafe UK based at Eastgates in Colchester and with offices in the Midlands, Wales and Scotland are celebrating the company’s success in the first quarter of 2015.  Five contracts worth over £1.5 million have been secured so far this year enabling the continued growth in the UK and the planned expansion into further international markets.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia

KAUST is one of the most prestigious international universities in the world and is renowned for their state of the art facilities and teaching methods.  KAUST has recently rejuvenated a large sports hall on their main campus and the hall now requires the installation of all the internal fittings.

The contract worth $500,000 is to resurface the sports hall floor followed by the installation of a state of the art rock climbing wall, mobile rebound boards, roof mounted drop down basketball hoops and division netting.

The team assigned to the project will be trained in Saudi customs and our clothing division Branded will be creating our engineers kit to assist them with the heat as well as adhere to Saudi dress codes.

Metropolitan Police Gym Equipment

Sportsafe work very closely with all the emergency services and are delighted to now be working with the Metropolitan Police Service to service and repair their gym equipment for 70 sites across 32 boroughs of London.

North Yorkshire council contract for schools

This contract to install and service sports equipment in schools across the county for the next three years.  The contract will be managed by the Essex office in Colchester and adds 350 school sites to our portfolio.

Freedom Leisure Group

This contract started at the beginning of April and also saw phase one of our online Client Portal development.  The portal allows the 30 leisure centres to access the Sportsafe system to view and download certificates, reports, quotations and invoices.

The Extracare Care Homes
A first for Sportsafe but with the recognised importance of physical exercise amongst the elderly we are sure that the servicing and repair of fitness equipment within care homes will become more and more prevalent over the coming months and years.

There are specific benefits including the managing or blood pressure, maintaining regular bowl movements, stimulating poor appetite, strengthening muscles and bones, easing the discomfort of debilitating conditions and it lifts your mood and makes you feel happy!

Managing Director Jonathan Neill says, “What a fantastic start to the year – a true reflection of our team’s dedication and excellent customer service. These new contracts will allow us to continue our investment in the business with new offices planned for the UK and mainland Europe and the development of handheld engineer technology to be launched this quarter.”
