ALICE KINSELLA

As of 2017, Team GB Gymnast and Commonwealth Games Gold medalist Alice Kinsella has been an official ambassador for both Sportsafe and SPIETH Gymnastics.

ABOUT ALICE KINSELLA

Alice is an English gymnast who competes internationally for both England and Great Britain. She represented Great Britain at the 2016 European Junior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Switzerland, winning three silver medals.

Her achievements at the European Juniors helped her push for promotion to the Team GB senior team. Alice made her senior debut in March 2017 at the Stuttgart World Cup.

Since her debut, Alice has continued to be called up to senior Great Britain and England Artistic Gymnastics teams.

At the 2017 British Championships, Alice took all-around silver behind Ellie Downie. Following the British, Alice was selected for her first World Championships, competing and qualifying for the all-around final in a strong field. Unfortunately, though, Alice suffered an injury during qualification which meant she was unable to compete in the final. At the 2018 Gymnastics World Cup in Birmingham, Alice claimed her first medal on the international stage, winning all-around bronze in front of a packed Arena Birmingham.

Shortly after her World Cup performance in Birmingham, Alice travelled to Australia’s Gold Coast with the rest of Englands Commonwealth team to compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

She competed on all four events in the team final/individual qualifications where she won a silver medal with the English team, finishing behind Canada. She had also successfully qualified in third for the all-around final, second for the beam final and sixth for the floor final.

In the all-around final, Alice won bronze with a total score of 53.150 behind gold medal winner Ellie Black from Canada and silver medal winner Georgia Godwin from Australia.

Alice competed in the beam final where she won gold with a score of 13.700.

“Thank you Sportsafe – you make it possible for me to follow my dreams.”

THE PERFECT MATCH FOR SPORTSAFE

Sportsafe had been admiring Alice’s progression for a few years prior to being approached for potential support.

As the UK home of Spieth Gymnastics, Alice was the perfect ambassador to help us spread the word on the benefits of using Spieth Gymnastics.

Now in our second year with Alice, we were thrilled to witness her success at the World Championships in Birmingham in March 2018 and then a triple medallist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
