Sportsafe UK based at Eastgates in Colchester and with offices in the Midlands, Wales and Scotland are celebrating the company’s success during the last three months.

Four contracts and two frameworks worth over £1.5 million have been secured enabling the continued growth in the UK and the planned expansion into further international markets.

Two new frameworks….

ESPO 345 and ESPO 144
Sportsafe UK have been awarded the position on the following ESPO framework
• 345 – Fitness equipment (supply, delivery, installation & maintenance)
• 144 – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Clothing

What is ESPO?
ESPO Frameworks are a particularly effective means of securing goods ensuring economies of scale, whilst at the same time eliminating the need to run separate competitive tendering exercises for each requirement, reducing the amount of time and effort required to procure the requirement

The two new frameworks are:
• 345 – Fitness equipment (supply, delivery, installation & maintenance)
This framework offers full ranges of cardiovascular and strength equipment from leading suppliers of fitness equipment and also interactive electronic equipment such as dance machines and active walls and floors are available. With a wide range of new and re-manufactured equipment given at competitive prices.
• 144 – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Clothing
This framework offers a range of personal protective equipment and clothing; Ranging from corporate workwear, school wear and leisurewear to fire/rescue service workwear and police workwear.

Four new contracts….

Isle of Man
Following a successful two successive terms, Sportsafe has retained the inspection and maintenance of the 40 schools across the Isle of Man. The new contract will continue for three years with the team of engineers from our Wales and Midlands office continuing the maintenance.

Scottish Fire Service
After the collaboration of all Scottish Fire Services into one contract for the inspection and maintenance of their fitness equipment, Sportsafe now have the contract for four years. This will consists of 87 sites with hundreds of pieces of equipment.

South Yorkshire Fire Service
The rolling contract for South Yorkshire FS started with an assessment of their assets across 24 fire stations and then gymnasium and fitness equipment maintenance via the ESPO 107 framework.

Bedfordshire Police
This is to service and maintain the fitness equipment at three sites across Bedfordshire including Luton airport. This contact is due to start during February once all engineer security checks have been completed.
