Last week we welcomed our new Operations Director, Alex Wilkins to the Sportsafe family.

An avid cyclist, family man and social butterfly, Alex comes from an operations background with more than 5 years in a similar role dealing with regional depots, maintenance and inspection staff countrywide. He has steadily progressed from a front-line operational role and site manager, before his current role.

In the last 2 years Alex was instrumental in leading the implementation of company software solutions and responsible for reducing operational costs. No stranger to managing change in a rapidly growing company, Alex has proudly worked on major contracts for the construction industry, emergency services, military and royal public events.

Alex said: “I was attracted to Sportsafe for the core values in which the company was founded on. Another major appeal was the opportunity to use my skillset to help transform the service division and drive forward service excellence within the brand and industry. Putting customer expectations and service levels at the forefront of what we do.

I’m looking forward to pushing forward on customer excellence, working with and sculpting the team to be the best that they can be. I’m eager to start work on going paperless, to help improve the green credentials and to also streamline service processes ensuring a first-time ethic is maintained. With my experience in the utilization of technology to improve service provision, I’m excited to explore the potential of implementing technology within the department, to drive operational excellence and provide exceptional levels of service to both the customers and the Sportsafe brand”.
